Buena Vista’s history

Buena Vista sits on the southern shore of Last Mountain Lake, about 40 kilometres north-west of Regina, just off Highway 54. It lies within the Rural Municipality of Lumsden No. 189, and its western edge meets neighbouring Regina Beach at 16 Street.

The community incorporated as a village on November 18, 1983. Its name is Spanish for "beautiful view."
